At the same time for launching 2nd generation of EG Series (see blog: Product number determination “Greco EG” Part 2), new SE Series Stratocaster type also had significant model change that is called "Super Real" series.
As same as EG, the design and features are refined to be closer copy to original vintage Fender Stratocaster such as:
- Apply Pre CBS style small headstock (SE800/600/500/380) that was only applied for high-end model at former generation.
- Kluson style tuner peg for all model
- New pickup with vintage "loose-turn" coil
- Maple one piece neck instead of Maple cap fingerboard that was applied for low-end model at former generation.
- Steel tremolo block, Press type bridge saddle, Rubber bush PU mount and Aluminum pickguard (SE800)

This enthusiastic effort brings next generation "Mint Collection", which is a sort of the goal of "law-suit" guitars and it made Fender to launch Fender Japan for vintage reissue series production with Fujigen in early '80s
